From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the aroma of freshly roasted beans and the hum of conversation across the counter. It’s this atmosphere that defines the Port Coffee experience: come for the coffee, stay for the conversations.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED…
Our story began in 2015 with a simple but transformative moment: a cup of freshly roasted coffee brewed using a pour-over method. From that first sip, we knew there was no going back—coffee would never be the same.
We started small, roasting on our very first machine—affectionately named Ruby—which handled just one kilo at a time. What began as a passion quickly grew into something more as we brought our coffee to a local farmers’ market the following summer in 2016. The support and encouragement from our community showed us we were onto something special.
Just 4 years later, in 2020, we opened our first brick-and-mortar café in Bay Head, New Jersey. As our business grew, Ruby officially retired, and Lucille, our new roaster, took her place—allowing us to continue refining our craft and serving a growing community of coffee lovers.
